Commissioning is a special way to create art that is made just for you or can be for any number of reasons, and can go across many different styles.

A piece for a particular sized wall

With a commission request there is the assurance of an agreed contract between myself and you, the customer, that I will create you a beautiful piece of art for your home, workplace, hotel, store, or restaurant.

Before I commence, I generally ask for a non -refundable deposit at the time of agreeing on your design to purchase your materials.

I can create you an artwork in any of the optional sizes you find on the request form, and also offer you custom sizing to suit your specification.

I generally use a high quality acrylic paint over oil as this dries a lot quicker and reduces the time it takes to create your Perfect Commission Piece, however I am happy to work with most mediums.

Creating something people feel very personal about gives me such a unique experience for every piece I create.

Complete your request form, and describe your perfect artwork.

Vanessa Mae will then accept your offer or contact you via email to further discuss your requirements. You can even send through images for inspiration.

Once accepted, you pay the deposit to get the ball rolling and when you’re happy with the final piece, you pay the remainder.

Get regular progress updates

Once your job is accepted, Vanessa Mae will be with you every step of the way with photos and regular updates on our socials.

Step 1 - Submit your request

Submit your enquiry by completing the form above with your prefered dimensions and a description of your design brief. We will respond via email in 24 – 48 hours.

Step 2 - Discuss Your Brief

We will discuss your design brief further via email and confirm your ideal size, your chosen colour palette, and advise you of your all inclusive price to have your artwork delivered to the door of your forever home.

Step 3 - Pay Your Deposit

You will receive your payment plan summary and make your deposit payment. Once this is done we will advise you of an approximate turnaround time and completion date.

Step 4 - Create Your Perfect Commission Piece

Vanessa Mae will handpaint your Perfect Commission Piece and send you proof images so you can see the progress of your artwork and comment along the journey.

Step 5 - Final Unveiling & Delivery

Once you are happy with your completed Perfect Commission Piece, you will receive a Hi-Res image via email prior to your artwork being varnished and packaged up for transport to your door.
